Still waiting....

I appreciate many of you following our little story.  Thank you for your kind words and support.  We went to the doctor today and honestly, there isn't much to report.  We are still waiting.  lol.  My in-laws are putting stock on this storm system about to move through....I'm not so sure.  Matthew and I (mostly me) are anxious for this baby to make her debut.  I figure if I'm not getting any sleep and I am super uncomfy, there might as well be a baby with it! 

This week has been fairly quiet.  On Sunday our new church family threw us a baby shower.  The kindness and generosity of this church has been overwhelming!   This baby girl is already so rotten, and she isn't even here yet.  Thanks to everyone who came out, sent gifts, prayers or words of encouragement!  It was a beautiful afternoon!

Not a lot of updates on the nursery this week....it is as ready as it is going to get before she arrives.  :)  I have finished her name for the wall....and ordered a couple of special "goodies" that have her name on them.  I can't wait to share them with you....soon! 

On a side note, I dug out the sewing machine this week and have began nesting in that way.  So far, not so bad.  Hopefully my skills will improve and I will begin sharing my new found hobby with you.  :)

 Please keep praying for our little girl and a safe delivery.  I'll keep you posted!

Holy Week

This week is Holy Week in the life of the church.  I love Holy Week and the somber reflection that comes with this week. Baby Kimmons has had an interesting week with all of the church services. I had the privilege of rehearsing and playing with the Baptist church for Good Friday, to which the baby was highly responsive. I hope that it is a musical child. It seemed to like the music and was dancing or something in there! We also had a Maundy Thursday service to which Baby K seemed to love all the singing as well.      Obviously, this has been a very busy week and I am exhausted.  The tired feeling has definitely not gone away, in fact, it may be even more intense.  I have been super achy this week as things seem to be growing and shifting even more. We had a bit of a scare yesterday, but after being all checked out, everything seems to be fine. Trying times...

  Yes, today is 14 weeks and yes a picture is coming I promise, but hubby isn't home yet.  :(  But I need to vent.  Today has been a very emotionally trying day.  Life seems to be overwhelming me (probably along with a few hormones too!) and I am really struggling today.  Between work, grad school, and other aspects of life, I am left worn out and stressed out.  I am well aware that I am very blessed.  I have been blessed with some amazing opportunities in life and even now with this baby on the way I realize how great I have things.  However, maybe this baby is helping me to put things into perspective.  Some of the things that I once found so important don't seem to matter as much.  Deadlines have been mere suggestions lately.  Most of all, I feel like I am struggling to find my voice in the sea of those who want to tell me what to do, how to do it, or how I should be feeling right now.  I can't decide if I want to cry or sleep.  I know that many of you are going throu

Whadda ya think?

So, now that we have shared our big news, everyone's next question is..."well, are you going to find out the gender?"  My response is "ABSOLUTELY!" Ha!  My Type A- OCD personality has to find out.  Many people love the element of surprise that comes with not finding out, but I think the surprise of just meeting our beautiful baby will be enough, the rest must be planned.  :)  As far as preference, we don't really have one.  I would love to have a little girl to put big bow and flowers on their head and to cover in ruffles and frills, but a little boy would be tons of fun.  As long as the baby is happy and healthy, we are thrilled either way.  I have had several people make their suggestions as to gender based on my appearance.  One family member says it's a boy cause I am carrying all in front, a friend says it's a girl cause I am carrying down low.  My friends think it's a boy cause I haven't been puking like they were and they both had girl
