Week 16

Image
This week has been a bit quiet, which is good.  Holy week has ended and we are back to a somewhat "normal" schedule.  We spent a lot of time this week outside playing as Elliott has found that she LOVES being outside.  Today there was a complete meltdown when we wouldn't let her go outside because it was raining.  She loves to swing, slide and pick dandelions - I mean seriously, how cute is that? This past week Elliott has become very attached to her baby doll which she has named "Nee".  "Nee" is now sleeping with Elliott, as well as reading bedtime stories and singing songs.  During the day "Nee" travels throughout the house and gets burped, hugged, kissed, and thrown.  lol.  It is really cute.  When I babysit Maddison, Elliott uses "Nee" to mimic taking care of a baby.  Elliott loves Maddison though and is so very sweet with her.  I think she is going to make a wonderful big sister. Baby #2 is growing.  My tummy is growing and

Holy Week + Pastor's family = oy.  lol.  I love Holy week, it is truly one of my favorite times of the year.  Not only does it mean that we are officially (at least in my book) into spring, but thinking of Christ's journey and sacrifice just makes the whole week perfect.  We are all feeling so blessed but so worn out.   Elliott has had such a fun week with her first Easter egg hunts.  We attend a music class for toddlers here in town and they use shaker eggs in class, when Elliott first saw them she thought they were the "shaky eggs" and was so excited!  Putting the shaky eggs in the basket was great fun.  I love that we have had such beautiful weather for all the festivities.  Amazing!   I have felt pretty good and my belly is growing so all of the muscles are grumpy about that, but it is exciting to know that the baby is growing too!  I saw my DE (Diabetes Educator) this week and she adjusted my insulin (again...I mean, it pretty much happens every time I tal

This week has been generally uneventful.  We had Maddison with us the better part of the week, which made us feel like we were back into routine after spring break.  Elliott is loving the warm weather and playing outside.  She loves to swing and slide.  It has been super fun watching her explore outside.   She has been a little more clingy to me this week, not sure the reasoning, maybe she is sensing that something is different.   I went to my regular OB on Tuesday.  Have I mentioned that I LOVE her?  Seriously, if you are in the Louisville area and need an OB let me know and I will get you connected.  This was a regular check up, nothing fancy.  It was very early in the morning and she must not have had many patients because we were just chatting and having a great time.  lol.  She used the doppler to find the baby's heartbeat all the while chatting away about her experience at the dentist last week.  While she was talking she kept moving the doppler, but we weren't hearing

Well, this week was much better than last week.  Finally over the stomach bug and had a few warm days to air out and disinfect the house.  This week was also Spring break for all of the local kiddos.  Our subdivision has been full the joyful noises of kids playing outside.  We enjoyed time outside as well.  Elliott loves going to the park and playing...she is at such a fun age!  Elliott is now walking pretty much exclusively and of course, with that, comes lots of falling down.  Shew, it is a full time job just keeping up with her.  She is so busy and constantly on the move.  It is funny, when I was in the beginning stages of pregnancy with her I still taught elementary music.  I was up and down out of the floor all day long and I didn't think much of it.  Well, it is a bit harder this go around.  lol. I can only imagine it is going to get worse the further along I get. This week I have felt really good.  I am back to no real symptoms, and I think I am even getting a little ene
