11 months

This last month has been so fun!  Really!  Elliott is developing such a neat personality and sense of humor.  She has settled into a new routine (yes new moms and moms-to-be...they change! ).  This new routine has allowed her to be such a happy baby when she is awake and I love it!  She is crawling and scooting everywhere!  Yesterday she figured out that when she is crawling she can follow mommy throughout the house.  She had so much fun!  She is happy to play independently, make a big mess, and dance.  :)  We went to the beach this past month too...she wasn't so sure about that.  She doesn't like the sand....at all.  Nope.  No toes in the sand for my girl.  The waves in the ocean were pretty fun though.  She has definitely become "Daddy's Girl"....much to Mommy's sadness.  She now has eight teeth! 


Things Elliott Can do:
*Crawl everywhere.
*Scoot on her tushy
*Dance
*Sit up independently in the crib. 
*Unpack her diaper bag.  Such a fun game!
*Pretend to use a phone!  So cute!
*Identify ducks and cats in books that she is reading
*Walk with assistance
*Do the motions to several of her favorite songs
*Watch Mickey Mouse -whole episode
*Play/interact with other children
*eat pretty much anything and everything.  (think bottomless pit)
*Cling to mommy and daddy....especially daddy.
*Give Mommy kisses.  (haha!)  
*Wear a bow in her hair....no bands!


Things Elliott Likes:
*Puffs, Crunchies, yogurt bites, fruit, meat, cheese, you name it.  She likes to eat.
*Books
*Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
*Bubble guppies
*Phones
*Music
*Dancing
*Her blanket
*Did I mention music?
*Daddy
*Bathtime
*people sitting on the floor and playing with her...

Things Elliott Doesn't like:
*sitting still
*bows
*Samson in her face
*People other than Mommy/Daddy holding her
*sharing her toys
*piccolos.  :)
*loosing sight of Mommy/Daddy
*Grass
*Sand
*Naptime
*Showers

11 Weeks!

Today starts week 11 and sadly that means I am 1/4 of the way through this pregnancy.  How can that be already?  Baby is the size of a lime this week and apparently is growing fingers and toes!  It is starting to wiggle around in there and today I was able to feel a little of its movements...earlier than either of my other babies.  This week has been a little better in the glucose department, numbers are a little more consistent and I am finding a new stride with the insulin.  Hopefully we maintain this through the rest of pregnancy, but I won't hold my breath.  Baby has wanted Fazoli's breadsticks and Christmas tree cakes, neither of which are good for diabetic mama....but both are OH SO tasty!  hahaha.  I am officially down 20 pounds!  Hopefully I can keep it off once baby arrives.  Will. Power. Tomorrow I have a trifecta of appointments, starting with an ultrasound, meeting with the MFM dr, nutritionist, and my regular OB.  I...

Round 3!

If you are choosing to follow me here again (or for the first time) during this pregnancy, thank you.  I found that I love going back and reading past entries about my other pregnancies and think "oh yeah!  There is a reason I blocked that out!"  haha.  I was debating on whether or not to keep this going through this pregnancy but I think I would be terribly disappointed later on if I choose not to, so here I go.  Yesterday I hit  9 weeks with baby number three.  I am officially (unofficially?) due July 4th, with the understanding that since this will definitely be a CSection I will deliver most likely near the end of June.  Firecracker (my pet name for this one) is the size of a grape (ish).  I was able to hear a good strong heartbeat at my last dr. appointment and all seems to be going well with baby.  So far I haven't had any nausea (hallelujah!) and have only thrown up a couple of times while trying to brush my teeth.  I am ...

Holy Week

This week is Holy Week in the life of the church.  I love Holy Week and the somber reflection that comes with this week. Baby Kimmons has had an interesting week with all of the church services. I had the privilege of rehearsing and playing with the Baptist church for Good Friday, to which the baby was highly responsive. I hope that it is a musical child. It seemed to like the music and was dancing or something in there! We also had a Maundy Thursday service to which Baby K seemed to love all the singing as well.      Obviously, this has been a very busy week and I am exhausted.  The tired feeling has definitely not gone away, in fact, it may be even more intense.  I have been super achy this week as things seem to be growing and shifting even more. We had a bit of a scare yesterday, but after being all checked out, everything seems to be fine. Thank goodness!  ( Sorry for any of you that I scared while at work!)     I am having a few ...
