10 months

I know, I am a little late getting this post up...sorry.  The pictures were taken on the correct day, just didn't take time to sit down and write.  This last month seemed really crazy.  Annual conference, Father's day, my mom had surgery, several friends had babies, CRAZY!  lol. Elliott is growing so fast. We FINALLY (at 10 months) had her 9 month check up (yes, it has been THAT busy! lol).  She is in the 50th percentile for height and 30th for weight.  Long and skinny but otherwise very healthy. We have been frequenting the pool and we have a new swing in the back yard so we are loving summer.

Things Elliott can do:

*Crawl!  I thought she was going to skip it, but alas!  She crawls!
*She has figured out that there is also velcro on the diaper.  Should be fun...
*Push her self out of her carseat/highchair once the straps are unlatched
* Identify puffs no matter what container they are in...
*Make a kissing noise...so cute!
* Stand and walk with support
*"dance" to the music

Things Elliott loves:

*Mickey Mouse Club House
*Bubble Guppies
*Music
*Apples
*Chicken
*Broccoli
*BOOKS
*BOOKS (it deserved two places)
*Puffs
*Swinging
*Playing

Things Elliott doesn't like:

*Bananas
*Carrotts
*Being alone
*Bows (sad face)
*Shoes
*Being still
 *the word "no"  lol


This month Elliott has begun biting me with her four teeth.  Just me, no one else.  It is very frustrating, but at least she only bites me.  Any of you have any trouble with this?  Suggestions?

Trying times...

  Yes, today is 14 weeks and yes a picture is coming I promise, but hubby isn't home yet.  :(  But I need to vent.  Today has been a very emotionally trying day.  Life seems to be overwhelming me (probably along with a few hormones too!) and I am really struggling today.  Between work, grad school, and other aspects of life, I am left worn out and stressed out.  I am well aware that I am very blessed.  I have been blessed with some amazing opportunities in life and even now with this baby on the way I realize how great I have things.  However, maybe this baby is helping me to put things into perspective.  Some of the things that I once found so important don't seem to matter as much.  Deadlines have been mere suggestions lately.  Most of all, I feel like I am struggling to find my voice in the sea of those who want to tell me what to do, how to do it, or how I should be feeling right now.  I can't decide if I want to cry or sleep.  I know that many of you are going throu

Holy Week

This week is Holy Week in the life of the church.  I love Holy Week and the somber reflection that comes with this week. Baby Kimmons has had an interesting week with all of the church services. I had the privilege of rehearsing and playing with the Baptist church for Good Friday, to which the baby was highly responsive. I hope that it is a musical child. It seemed to like the music and was dancing or something in there! We also had a Maundy Thursday service to which Baby K seemed to love all the singing as well.      Obviously, this has been a very busy week and I am exhausted.  The tired feeling has definitely not gone away, in fact, it may be even more intense.  I have been super achy this week as things seem to be growing and shifting even more. We had a bit of a scare yesterday, but after being all checked out, everything seems to be fine. Whadda ya think?

So, now that we have shared our big news, everyone's next question is..."well, are you going to find out the gender?"  My response is "ABSOLUTELY!" Ha!  My Type A- OCD personality has to find out.  Many people love the element of surprise that comes with not finding out, but I think the surprise of just meeting our beautiful baby will be enough, the rest must be planned.  :)  As far as preference, we don't really have one.  I would love to have a little girl to put big bow and flowers on their head and to cover in ruffles and frills, but a little boy would be tons of fun.  As long as the baby is happy and healthy, we are thrilled either way.  I have had several people make their suggestions as to gender based on my appearance.  One family member says it's a boy cause I am carrying all in front, a friend says it's a girl cause I am carrying down low.  My friends think it's a boy cause I haven't been puking like they were and they both had girl
